"But, according to the latest numbers dated Oct. 31 on the Department of Commerce’s Right-of-Way Initiative dashboard, 816 people are in housing, and 149 have been placed in permanent housing. The initial funding for the program was $149 million."

That's $149,000 Per Person to house homeless.

But that's not enough.

Insley wants $100 million more!

How much after that's gonr?

He's trying to do as much damage as he can before his term ends in the fall.

He's not running again, you might consider spreading the word about Dave Reichert who is running, and would bring a lot of common sense to the state.

‘Sticker shock looking at those numbers’
When asked if $1 million for every one of the 149 in permanent housing was an acceptable spending ratio, Inslee replied, “No, I wish everything was free. And we all believe in Santa Claus. But Santa can’t take care of this problem; we need to make investments.”

“So, yes, everybody has sticker shock looking at those numbers. But those are necessary investments. And they’re paying off, and we’re going to keep doing it,” he emphasized.

The above is basically a polite way of saying. " how dare you challenge me".

I don't think Dave Reichert has much of a chance. Seattle with it 2000 billionaires who are all leftys won't allow it.

The Good News is that for the ENTIRE 12 years of Inslee and the Democrats they have been wasting taxpayers dollars. This is NOT a new way of doing business for Inslee and the Democrats.

Remember when the state did a county by county review of tax revenues and expenditures??? That excluded the WADOT program.

Anyway, I downloaded the data spreadsheet from the Office of Financial Management (OFM) and started doing some basic questions.

I like picking on Adams County since they are poor, small in population and not very politically savy. I believe their County Commissioners actually went to jail for bribery when the city of Seattle was looking to dump their garbage in the county.

Anyway, looked up state spending per pupil in Adams County. It was less than the state was spending per pupil in King County. I thought it was a mistake, since I had two different data bases with dates that might have differed.

NOPE, turns out Inslee and the Democrats as a matter of policy, sent more aid per student to King County than rural, poor counties. It was STATE POLICY to send the RICH school districts greater amounts of state aid!!!

I then turned to Welfare costs and payments. That was a dozy. The state of Washington spent MORE ON PROVIDING WELFARE BENEFITS to Adams County in Olympia than in Adams County.

Yep, the state government was spending MORE MONEY on state employees to administer the welfare program from Olympia than money actually spent in Adams County. Don't forget there were also state employees in Adams County working in the program!!!

For Adams County the primary recipients of welfare dollars were STATE EMPLOYEES. Can we call them welfare queens??

The more you know about Inslee and Democrats the madder you get.

You're assuming that these were all one-off costs and not investments in longer term solutions that will continue to help the homeless for very little additional money. If you buy a house, the money is spent all up-front no matter how long you live there.

Let's see if we get two serious candidates at the next election so we get a proper choice.

including Christine (The non-elected WA Governor) Who spent a bundle, and cost residents many bundles.

They are a 'like-kind', probably share notes daily.
Helps justify her pension.

That's all it takes...
Majority (3 counties of 36) control the direction and laws of the entire state.

Most of the voters are NOT job creators, or community builders. They're just along for the cushy ride.

"'Send-me-my-money-and-benefits' I have no clue (nor care) what's entailed in providing them. Just send the money."
