Yes, for many wages have not gone up much, especially in the West Sound.

Hi Ruth, am I qualified to make that statement?
I work HR for a commercial seafood company. We operate 5 seasonal plants in Alaska and 2 value added yearly operation plants in King County. Our seasonal Alaska wages have risen over 40% in the past 3 years.

Our King County plants starting wages up 20% and that's not enough. We're looking for the same folks that can go Amazon for a wage we can't match.

We've hired a number of new admin staff this past year, their wages are starting at least 30% more than 2 years ago.
