I could have sworn that we had a thread on Suitland developments. But anyway, here is a nice win for Suitland:

Quote:
SUITLAND, Md., Feb. 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Iron Mountain Incorporated ® (NYSE: IRM), the leading global provider of storage and information management services, today announced the opening of a secure, state-of-the-art federal records center in Suitland, Maryland, located at the Andrews Federal Campus, immediately outside the entrance of Joint Base Andrews. The 125,000-square foot facility has a total capacity of 1.5 million cubic feet of record storage, and is Iron Mountain's 10th facility to meet federal compliance standards for security.

Bumping this thread in case anyone has news.

Was in the area this weekend and drove by the Town Center site. Ryan Homes will start building soon (Village at Towne Square). Looks like 1- and 2- car garage homes starting from the high 200s. Probably the usual Hepburn and Strauss.

I also saw that they've finished adding the wider sidewalks and bike paths along Pennsylvania Avenue (between the beltway and silver hill rd). They added tall street lights as well. The area looks nice driving down.

Didn't know they put up wingstop and chipotle over where the old country buffet used to be at. Looks like its been there for almost a year now. Its a start I guess.

@adelphi_sky and others, any new updates you know of regarding the Ryan Homes townhomes and future development esp in light of Covid-19.

Looks like they're really trying to redevelop that area. I like the direction they're going. Those townhomes look nice. Too bad they're ryan homes. Never been a fan of their build quality.
