Multnomah Falls is always amazing to experience. But when fall colors appear and leaves are floating down from the trees while the waterfall thunders down, it is a very surreal place especially in the quiet of the early morning hours before others arrive. It makes me wonder what Lewis and Clark thought when they first laid eyes on this place. If you only wake up early once all year, this is the time to do it. These were shot as the sun was rising and there was hardly anyone around.

Those white spots at the bottom of the first two shots, are those wet leaves glistening?

That is some kind of plant growth, little white flowers or something else. I haven't seen it before so not 100% sure.

It was a beautiful day today with some higher clouds against the blue sky. We're having unseasonable mild weather for fall. I'm just going to enjoy it while it lasts. Sunset was gorgeous tonight. Here are a couple pictures of it from our neighborhood.

On the first photo looks like some conifers lost needles. Those are dead dried up trees, right?

Its kind of hard to tell from the photo. But there are probably some like that. We also have a lot of deciduous trees losing there leaves. Those are interspersed with conifers.

Probably. Those are too straight and branchless to be deciduous.
