Looks like they will be starting off with tie in to Chicago Fire.. Who killed the wife's ex boy friend?? My guess is the wife.

I think the wife too. I am looking forward to watching. I'm interested to see how Sophia Bush will work out on the show. She will be Brooke to me forever.

That was a great show. The fact that it was "in" New York right at 9/11. Killed it.

I hope it isn't necessary to have seen Chicago Fire in order to understand the plot. I'm going to watch because I love Sophia Bush. I hope it does well. She deserves another good series.

I would say that it IS necessary to have seen Chicago Fire because the whole character of Voight (Jason Beghe) and his backstory was born on Chicago Fire. I have a feeling though that before it starts you'll get a "previously on" to get you mostly caught up.
