The people that claim to be for less government are the ones that pass the most laws banning things (alcohol, books, etc)

We have age requirements for strip clubs, purchasing alcohol, operating a motor vehicle, voting, signing notes, etc. If you have no qualms with any of these requirements, then what's the problem with this? Being digital is not an excuse. I understand the use of a VPN can negate the problem. But a fake ID can get minors into a strip club, and that hasn't made us rescind the required age verifications to enter those facilities.

I'm surprised in you Dopo. You just figured this out? It's pretty much less government for things they don't like. If they're for it, the more regulations the better.

The age verification thing is being done in some of the EU. But P-hub voluntarily disabled all access instead of trying to comply with the law. Sounds to me like they are pushing an agenda... and these Canadian foreigners are trying to sway an election.

You know there are free proxy servers to get around this. My son, when he was in 5th grade, knew all about proxies because the kids used those in school to get around the strict network to play games on their school issued laptops. You can also use the TOR browser to access the site. If it asks for age verification you can change the TOR node until it works. No need to pay for a VPN.

BTW looks like the gore sites-- where Mexican cartels cut limbs off their rivals with chainsaws... or Chinese videos where they rip the skin off dogs in one pull while it's standing there before cooking it still work in Texas.

Remember-- Texans voted for the impotent cripple, the damn yankee lazy eye, and the other damn yankee because they know what's best for all of us. Those old white guys keep Texas women and children in line and that is very important.

Before you get angry, remember that it's presidential behavior to call people nicknames... and most Texan voters will blindly support that until 2029.

Eh, it all makes sense - PHUB can't stop people from using a VPN from Texas, even with their current IP restriction, but they are trying to protect themselves when the AG sues them for 'allowing' minors access from Texas even though they really have no way to stop it.

I was thinking if PH had made a page asking if you're over 18 or not, then click 'yes' or 'no' all this time, this ban would've never taken place. Now they really have to make it securely verifiable.

Sounds like a Supreme Court ruling in the making that will impact the future of internet porn
