After a stressful emergency trip back to my homestate of MI, I've decided, I really love TN and am so glad to be here! I've done my share of complaining but I'm officially stopping.

And, to reward me for my decision, the weather is beautiful today and only getting better. 50 today and up to 69 by the weekend. The weatherman says the cold weather is officially done here in TN. (how he knows that, I have no idea, but I'm happy!!!)

Goodbye, MI, and may my flippin' house in MI sell so I don't have to go back for a long, long time!!!

Yeah! Some GOOD news! Finally!

A&E's Mom: You seemed REALLY nice and were just so overwhelmed and new. I was exactly in the same boat as you. Just take little rides as often as you can. You will be shocked at how fast you learn the area.

I hope that house sells, too!

I know it seemed like you were going through a meltdown recently, but, don't we all go through those sometimes?
It can be really overwhelming at times when we move to a new area.
Welcome back to Tennessee....

My husband is a GM of a gift shop in Gatlinburg and I am the bookkeeper/clerk. We found this job while we were still in Michigan and relocated to TN for the job. So, yes, it was easy to get a job. Way easier than MI. We tried for 6 months w/ about 100 resumes sent out in MI and got 3 interviews. We sent maybe 10 down here to TN and got 3 interviews. And the offer in Gatlinburg was so good, we couldn't say no.

How do you enjoy living in Gatlinburg? Or do you live in Gatlinburg? I remember the first time I saw actual homes in Gatlinburg; until then, it never occurred to me that anyone actually LIVED in Gatlinburg. haha

Where is your gift shop in relation to the Pancake Pantry? I never go to Gatlinburg without stopping at the Pancake Pantry!
