It will still be a few weeks before most turn where I am, but I have been itching to get out in the woods and enjoy a nice cool walk. Very chilly here in the a.m. the last few days. Ill try to get some pictures this weekend.

They are mostly still green around here.

As you can see from the webcam, things are still green high up in the Smokies, too.

Cool Suck Creek, Chatt

TIN: Mist on still river this am going to do Volunteerism along Suck Creek, Chattanooga. Not bright color yet, but Green Oak, Green Pine, Green Tulip Popular, Green Sweet-Gum, Green Hickory, Green Elm, etc, etc.
"Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood" none the less.

I'd love to share! I have lots of trees on my lot and can only identify three, maybe four.

Some are starting to turn, but not too much.

This guy has been turning for at least a week, maybe more.

I can't really tell, hik, but that might be some sort of ash. If the leaves are similar to, but larger than an elm, it could be a birch.

I just can't see the individual leaves well enough to tell for sure.
