I remember how Clarksville locals treated the Soldiers there with disdain up until we deployed for Operation Desert Shield / Dessert Storm.

There was a completely different attitude when we returned. Apparently, the townsfolk realized where a lot of their bread and butter came from during our absence.

That was quite a while ago and I am sure the area has changed a lot.
