You can get the percentage of children who have had a well-child check up over a 12-month period. It's about 94%, which is very high. And before you say the South is lower, it's not. You can sort for that as well.

I'm glad the statistics for well-child visits are high, but statistics conveniently gloss over individual cases. And having been on the ground in a context that puts me near those kinds of things (yes, anecdotally, so I guess it gets big ol' asterisk), there are a lot of those individual cases of children not having "a parent and/or home support system that makes sure that they are healthy and cared for."

There was nothing deft or sneaky-sneaks about my phrasing, either. I'm not trying to move the goalposts; rather, I said what I said as a reason for why I think the state's Kill The Outreach measure is a bad move.

Also, maybe folks who don't live here shouldn't be so virulently opinionated about things that are happening here? Or is that straying into ad hominem territory?

Totally agreed. And since this entire thread was started by someone who doesn't live here and who's made only 2 posts in the Tennessee forum prior to this thread--the most recent being over 5 years ago--this thread is now closed.
