I'm wondering if that blue county WNW of Chattanooga includes Tullahoma. There will be scientists there working on the space program - perhaps they vote blue.

No. The blue area WNW of Chattanooga is Sewanee. All of Tullahoma, including the precincts closest to AEDC, went for Trump by over 2-to-1.

Default Why don’t you live in a blue state

I don’t understand why you don’t just live in a blue state. Leave the red state people alone with their opinions and values. You vote in blue states and then want to flee the messes you voted for.

We are looking at East Tennessee for retirement and possibly purchasing a rental property that will eventually become a retirement home. I suspect people are going to recommend Asheville, NC, but we are looking for something a little less pricey.

Depending on COVID, we are taking a trip down either this summer or next summer. What cities and towns should we visit? Chattanooga is already on our list? What else Johnson City?

Because people have a right to decide where they want to live, regardless of 'red' or 'blue'.
TN has always been considered a live and let live state, I'd like to see it remain so, and I'm saddened to see so many inhospitable posts here.

I am grateful we live in a great state that people want to move to. I would contend with you that diverse opinions leads to better solutions and better legislature for Tennesseans. I live in this "red" state and don't consider myself to be red or blue. I just vote for pragmatism.. as long as you're not hurting your neighbors the best ideas will give us the best chance at prosperity.
