This is a large park named Onondaga Lake Park in Liverpool, NY, which is a northern suburb of Syracuse. This lake is connected to the Erie canal, which is why so many people have boats on it.

You can barely see downtown Syracuse and the Carrier Dome in couple shots...

Thanks for the pictures of Onondaga Lake Park! I proposed to my wife there during Lights on the Lake! Sure do miss the autumn temps, colors and smells. Thanks again!

Very pretty pictures. Am I correct in saying it doesn't seem to be at peak yet? Here on LI the leaves have barely begun to change.

cuse, Thank you!

nymom, thanks! The Syracuse area is either at peak now or very close to it. Though my large silver maple tree is still all green. Its one of the last to turn, I'm usually still raking leaves in mid to late November.

Next Fall you really need to try and get some Fall Snapshots posted Fall in New Yeork is SO beautiful you must share it with others. I live in Europe now and Fall, while beautiful is just not the same. One hard rain and all the leaves are on the ground....in New York I remember Fall lasting for several weeks...miss the road side Cider and Doughnut stands too
