Very nice pics bella, beautiful upstate town. Hopefully even more tourists/visitors will check out the Finger Lakes region and also discover small (and often unknown) gems like Skaneateles. Thanks.
What a gorgeous town! I still remember reading about Skaneateles in Tim Green's "The Fourth Perimeter", a thrilling story about a man on a mission to assasinate the president while he visits Skaneateles Lake. ;o) Just to clear up the confusion, the name is pronounce "Skinny-Atlas", right?
That's funny. Vince may learn that a lot of troopers reside in Skan. He can convoy all he wants, and expect to be cited for anything possible, all day long, every time. He simply doesn't understand how Skan works; he will not get what he wants.
Want to weight in on this crazy turn of events....anyone?
I love that they're giving a cease-and-desist on ENFORCING STATE REGS.
Good luck with that one. That'll land him in much hotter water than just flouting the law for a bit. Do I necessarily agree with the regs? No. But publicly announcing that you intend to flout them in a big way... bad idea, and quick path to an audit and massive arrests/jailings.

Reason: Typo fix
Hello from sunny Ventura County CA, where I moved from NYC last year. Great to have no snow--I'm a back-pain disabled senior who's terrified of being trapped at home due to ice.
BUT--
I am so homesick for upstate NY (which I visited frequently) I could go mad. I am heartbroken; no amount of sun and great weather can substitute for the gorgeous wildness only NY State can give.
SO--
I'm hoping to move back in a few years, and hoping to figure out how to survive as an aging (gorgeous) lady with a very bad back. Skaneateles looks like heaven to me--I hope to see ya someday there!
Any tips on how to survive re. snow removal, keeping the house warm--would be very much appreciated!
Thanx.
