If Tractor Supply Company is to open a second store location in Anderson County, I could see that store opening in Belton.
Rural King operates a lesser quantity of larger stores with additional items beyond farm and ranch. It will not operate a greater quantity of smaller stores Tractor Supply Company operates.
Rural King seems to be looking exclusively at either going into the former Anderson Sears or at building a new store somewhere in the Anderson address range.
I am thinking that some of the Former Fred's stores could be ideal for TSC. The Freds store in Honea Path is still available and that is farther away from the Anderson TSC than Belton is, which is a definite plus.

Seems like they should try to get a Macy's at the Anderson Mall since their nearest locations are a bit of a drive to Haywood Mall in Greenville or down to the Mall of Georgia.

Freestanding former Fred's stores are small for the space Tractor Supply Company stores need.
McAlister's Deli and Chicken Salad Chick are looking to add new locations in Anderson, SC!
A sandwich chain with the likes of Jason's Deli or Schlotzsky's. Franchisee who owns 70 locations in multiple states (including most of the locations in the upstate) is scouting for an Anderson location and a Greer location. They want to open 4 restaurants next year, 1 each quarter.

Chicken salad chain started in Auburn, AL! The franchisee who owns all the locations in the Upstate is now scouting for an Anderson location.

McAlisters should also consider a location in Easley and/or Powdersville.
Guitar Center is currently looking at some spots to put a possible new Anderson location!
Augusta, GA had a 10,000 square foot standalone Guitar Center store open last year on a 1.16 acre plot. There are some possibilities for them to either build a new standalone location or take over a shopping center space in Anderson. Pier 1 immediately comes to mind for the latter.

It is surprising McAlisters did not open a restaurant in Anderson around the same time as the one in Clemson.
McAlister's was originally going to open at 140 Commons Parkway a couple of years back. However, the city government wasn't being that cooperative. When I talk to them, he said that due to some change in them since a couple years back and due to them being a lot more pro-business now, they are looking to come to Anderson again. Also, Anderson is an expanding market that they would probably like to get into.
Also, Buffalo Wild Wings was going to go where Popeyes is (3939 Clemson Blvd) but it was out in the county where, back then, you could not sell alcohol on Sundays. They ended up backing out due to that. However, BWW has been looking at some possible spots to bring a possible Anderson location as of recent due to that law being overturned.
Just to add on:
Tough it is not secured, I have been told that a 6,500 sqft sit down restaurant chain that is not in Anderson yet has an LOI on the Toys R Us parking lot (3405 Clemson Blvd). A furniture store also has an LOI on the Toys R Us itself and I was told by a source that it is Ashley Furniture. Ashley Furniture has bought former Toys R Us in Spartanburg, SC and Augusta, GA so I would not consider that unrealistic.

Do you know what location(s) Mcalisters is looking at in Anderson?
They are looking at either the Clemson Blvd corridor or at the E Greenville St corridor as far north as the AnMed North Campus.
Mall outparcel next to Once Upon a Child, lot behind Golden Corral and next to the new HomeGoods, lot in between BK and Bojangles on E Greenville St, and some others.
They want a drivethru for this McAlister's, unlike the Clemson location, due to what is going on.
