I'm pretty sad to hear this. I go sometimes. I like them BETTER than Dollar Tree. I'll try nto stock up on some things before their last day. I'll get their juice beverages, some condiments, more tissue refills in the automotive section (if they still have that there), & see what other stuff I can get.

I've never been in one, and only once went to the Dollar Tree when on vacation at a place with a pool and they had those pool noodles out front on sale. I don't know if there are any around here, none in our city but we don't have Walmart or Target either, no big stores.

I never heard of them, for good reason. They are in only 4 states!

Everything starts at $2 years ago. Won't be surprise if the prices keep climbing, with minimum wage now at $19-$20 per hour.
I've stock up "hair filters" over the drain when washing hair.
I'm sure any number of these cheaper products come from forced labor camps in China, like those plastic Halloween tombstones, and consumers are unaware of it.
Lots of store thefts was one factor in their closings.
I lived in Las Vegas for 22 years and they had 10 of these stores in the Las Vegas Valley and I frequented them many times.
I feel for the 100's of people that are going to be laid off!

They existed for almost 30 of the almost 50 years I lived in California, but I don't think I ever went in one there.
The one in my zip code in Texas (Houston metro) closed sometime in the 2010s, and I only went in there to see what they might have if the Dollar Tree across the street was out of something I'd sometimes get there.
I hadn't been in one in years and went into one in GF's zip code (also Houston metro) on a day I also went to HEB (99 cents only store is kitty corner from the HEB (HEB is a big Texas grocery chain)) last year and there wasn't anything I wanted...walked in and walked out.
Interesting that no one mentions the 14000 employees who are losing their jobs.
I know the feeling personally though, so it's not like I don't have empathy. I worked at a facility in which there were literally only a few locations in the whole country & my state's facility closed, so thousands of us were out of a job at once.
Also had another job in which my whole dept was eliminated.

I can see the signs at the Dollar Trees which started arriving and surplanting 99 cents only stores always recruiting staff.
