Yep, same here.

One question, though -- did your dogs still remain in good health, after eating those treats?

So far we are just guessing on that.
A great idea. Thank you, elnina!

Trouble is....if any are still alive, they've gone under for the winter.
It's 10 degrees here, and snowy.

However, I can submit a pic of the last infested treat I found...or partial treat, rather.
When whole, these bonies are about 4in. long...and the one in the pic is about half of one.
Hope that will give you some idea of the size of the holes.

Pantry pests can usually eat through the plastic storage bags easily. Sometimes I keep certain things that might be especially prone to those in the freezer to avoid problems. Now that I HAVE a real freezer.

I found some of those recently in a box of pancake mix. The exterminator told me that the best way to get rid of them is to eliminate their food sources, so I got rid of the mix and made sure all of the other mixes and flours are sealed in plastic. I've also seen those beetles eat holes in paper cornmeal bags to get at the cornmeal.

The exterminator told me she had a client who had those beetles get into some macaroni sculptures that were stored in a drawer. They love anything made of grain.
I found some of these recently outside of an unopened bag of corn meal that I had sealed in a ziploc bag as soon as I brought it home from the store.

Default they're everywhere!

These bugs that you all are talking about...they seem to be everywhere. It looks like they are originating from the ceiling and dropping to the floor. That's why they seem to be appearing randomly. I pick one up, turn around, and there is another that was not there before.
One thing that is similar to what you guys were saying is that they are apparently attracted to dog food. I put out dry dog food for my dog with a small packet of wet dog food to go on top of the dry dog food. Hours later, I see these bugs gathering around and sucking on the dog food. Gross!
I also see some in other rooms besides the kitchen. A lot are in the kitchen, on the floor...some are in other bedrooms on top of the dressers and things like that. I even saw some on the furniture. Ew!

Anyways...I hope there's something that can get rid of them. And I hope someone can tell me how to prevent them from coming back.

Thanks.

We recently had weevils, or pantry bugs. We found the source, which was a bag of rice we got from the bulk bin at HEB. I immediately called the exterminator. He found some cocoons they had built in the corners of the ceiling. He had to knock them down, then he fumigated the pantry. This may be why you see them falling from the ceiling. We completely cleaned out our pantry and basically started over. Now we put everything in sealed containers.

Within the last month proudly only sence the heatwave started we have had a bug issue in the house there have been many centipedes and a few I don't know they seem centralised in the living room (where I sleep) by the couch and the tv tho there have also been many in the foyer and dining room and a few in my moms room these are all carpeted rooms all connected carpet as well there is also a vent between the dining room and my moms room I have not seen any in the bathroom or kitchen

Apart from the centipedes there were these little round (side-side like worms kinda? But hard?) black bodied things with White bellies a black centipede looking thing (I had only seen orange/red) and a long black thing that was on my arm that I would guess measured something like 1x3-5 cm

The room was somewhat messy before we cleaned and I bombed it about 5 times with a raid all purpose spray the room is presently fairly clean (my seeds are boxed up in plastic containers my computer is on something not sitting right on the floor the tv and tables all have "stuff" on them and are somewhat organised there is a stack of books on the floor if that contributes? The house thermostat was also showing it was at 80 degrees (f) in the dining room if that helps any? There are also 2 outlets that don't have covers one not far from where the most recent bugs were found alive (the 4 kills were made right near it) in the living room there's also another in the foyer if that can help?

About all I know is pound them with the raid and they will eventually die

It may have the same effect on your pets or your own internal organs. Not a good idea to go overboard with insecticide, especially in the kitchen.
