I can relate to what you are saying Fudge. I came out here for several years originally back in 78 leaving in 81 to return in 93. I miss the days of "no rush hour", Der Rathskeller pizza, Sunday's up Millcreek Canyon from 9am-12pm when there was NOBODY up there and you could hear the leaves rustle. NO gangs and graffiti nor real crime to worry about. Yeah It was a sweet time we'll just have to keep in our memories.

OMG, what great photos! I'm so looking forward to moving there. One question though, is there any real traffic there? From all the pictures it doesn't look like it. That would be awesome! In Arizona the traffic is awful!

There are some places that can get pretty backed up during rush hour, but it's not terrible. After 7PM, it's pretty dead everywhere.

Taken a few years ago. I-80 west. Morton Salt factory.
I only had a few minutes to take the shot.
A couple of minutes later, no more nice colours, just drabby, for a few minutes, and then again bright colours.

This is at the second off ramp to Grantsville. If you are lucky, it is flooded, and without wind, you then have the reflection.
More often than not, the water there is rippling.

I am now wanting to spend a small fortune on a Nikon D90!! They were just gorgeous pics. Of course, no matter what, the scenery has to complement the camera! Utah does that many times over!

Even with the camera and the scenery, you've got to have talent -- which obviously the photographer did. I just wish he'd taken one or two of the Salt Lake City skyline, or at least something from up above the Capitol Building or up by University Hospital.
