There's another forum for this in which the topic has been exhaustively discussed. But if you have anything new to offer, please take it there.

You mean if "older" women should cut their hair? Yes, several very long and heated threads about "masculine" hair on older women so please, let's not start this up again!

lol - I understand

But i was kind of wondering about it after i was kind of questioned why i didn't have short hair by at least 5 short haired women yesterday.

I don't color my hair and have been growing it out. It is halfway down my back now. My grandmothers used to have long grey hair and they would braid it and wrap it around their heads.

I just wanted to follow that tradition and was kind of taken aback by what happened yesterday.

I just find long hair easier to handle than short.

Five women in one day, really? You must live in a place where people place great importance on the issue. Maybe Manhattan or San Francisco? Good luck with that.

Over the many years my hair has been gray, I've never once been accosted in person by anyone questioning my style of choice. That style has ranged from extremely short to short to my current mid-range asymmetrical bob.
Just imo, it's a non-issue but if it bothers you, please take it to the beauty and fashion thread where others agree with you that it matters.

nope very small town. It was a community gathering and one lady said something about my hair and then it was ON!

I love my long hair. I told them it was easier to take care of then short hair.

With short, i had to go get it cut every two weeks or so. Use product etc. Not so with long hair.

I was ambushed!!!

If long or short hair makes a woman happy then I don’t really care, it’s a non issue.

Well that’s plain weird, why the heck would it matter to them? I love my short hair, easier to deal with, no need to use any products, need to get a trim every five or six weeks , is no biggie.
