Old school cameras with film and flash cubes
Record adapters for 45's
Vinyl records
Maps we got at service stations
S&H green stamps and Gold stamps
Black and white TV's
Pet rock
Dial-up internet
We actually played outside, no cell phone, no video games, mainly just our imagination
transistor radio

1. rifle club meeting after school.
2. rifle in unlocked (standard transmission) car all day.
3. target practice behind gym.

Retirement forum has become a very active non-stop haven and asylum for threads on nostalgia! LOL

Saddle shoes or white buck shoes with anklet socks. Probably any shoes with anklet socks.


Ugly eyeglasses frames.


Big, heavy bicycles with fat fenders.


Fastening playing cards to bicycle wheel spokes with clothespins to make noise.

I actually enjoy the nostalgia, brings back a lot of memories. I'm not fond of the latter topic.

Me to......must be the mood I have been in lately!

At soon to be 59 working with so many new apprentices between 18-25 we are forever comparing my good old days to theirs.............they still don't get the story of my parents getting my baby shoes bronzed
