A great many scholars apply the events foretold to the descruction of Jerusalem, and the doing away of the old covenant which occurred in AD 70 which is nearly 2000 years ago. I believe this is what the poster was refering to, correct me if I was wrong.

No, I don't dwell on it all the time. Do I think about it often? Yes. I'm ready beause Christ has made me ready. I know it will come we're just waiting for it.
And I believe the folks you were referring to were Jack and Rexella Van Impe. They are not very well regarded among the Church.

Your understanding of that is off if your referring to Matthew 16:28. Did He say second coming? No. We need to look at the context especially Matthew 17:1-8.

I find 'Jesus Christ' 'God Almighty' and 'Saviour' offensive but I don't tell people not to use them. Sorry if you are offended by it but I've always done it and will continue to do so. There are some thing we just have to learn to live with!
He doesn't say those that are standing right there will see Him come back at that moment. It's still a wrong conclusion.

I believe He was said "this generation' He was referring to "this nation", that the Jewish race shall not pass away until the Lord returns.
