Ouch, but yes, on-target.

One's best chance of discovering God starts with being as far away from churches as possible.

Currently I attend a Catholic church in Manhattan. I have attended for a few years and I like the physical building and the masses, but I struggle making friends or being invited to events. So although the church is wonderful it is not great to be isolated.

So where else can I go?

I would like to be in a bible study or various groups to be involved with people at the church. I am in my 40’s and single with no kids, so the youth groups don’t want me, the married people won’t acknowledge me, and the families are in their own worlds.

I wanted to learn how to become part of a choir but my emails were all unanswered. Last weekend I tried a few new churches and I was unimpressed. So how can I find acceptance in a church?
Why not try this parish?

Go visit with the CFR's, and explain your situation. They are amazing.
