This is the epitome of "missing the point entirely"! Jesus is the Word of God (Logos), NOT the scriptures that tell about Him! The Good News is that Jesus IS the very incarnation of God's Holy Spirit which is *and always has been) agape love and forgiveness, NOT wrath and vengeance that needed to be appeased by sacrifices before He could forgive us for anything!! Our ancestors labored for millennia under that misunderstanding of God and we have not fared any better even today! It has been a travesty of human ignorance, superstition, vanity, and hubris writ large, IMO.
