I like to give them money and then drive to the nearest liquor store and say "hi" when they come walking in.

Clever. I'd give all that I have if I thought that it would do any good. I'm 'give' out.

I told him that the deputies do not allow panhandling in the parking lot, and perhaps we should talk to them.
He walked off , and as he walked away told me that I was a racist, white privileged etc SO I just reached inside, piucked up the 9mm but kept it hidden just in case he tried something

Had he attacked me, I would have shot him, not over the quarter, not because he was black, but to defend myself.

When he left, I took the cart (with the 9mm in my pocket) back, got the quarter and left It was not about shooting a beggar over a quarter, it was about self defense.

Some of these beggars, due to drugs or alcohol can be very aggressive at times.
the aggressive one in the incident described above is the one reaching for his gun.
the belligerent one is the one making the snarky remark to go inside and get a job.
no that is not self defense. no matter how you slice it and dice it you are shooting someone over a quarter. a quarter which you did not give, but escalated into snarky remarks, belligerence, and while someone is walking away with their back turned reaching for a gun which you boast of carrying all the time.

That is not only the behavior of someone is hair trigger (literally) spoiling for a fight but a walking talking belligerent aggressive danger to others.

i knew a guy at work who was exactly like this. exactly. and yes he got himself shot one day. shot dead. in the bay of a self-serve car wash. where he met someone exactly like himself. who also carried a gun all the time. who got into a verbal altercation about taking too long to finish washing a car. impatient. self-centered. making nasty remarks to each other. then a punch in the face, then one shows the gun he is carrying, then the other says he carries too and reaches for it and was shot. dead. in the bay of the car wash. middle of the afternoon. broad daylight. both armed.

what did the shooter tell the cops? "officer, he was reaching for a gun, it was self defense. i feared for my life." literally that's exactly what he said.

that is the natural outcome when they meet someone just like themself: mouthy, impatient, belligerent, aggressive, hair trigger temper, knee jerk ready to shoot someone over a quarter in the grocery store parking lot or a few minutes wait at the car wash. that is the script they are writing and the outcome they are headed for.

what does this have to do with charity and the opening post urging others to not be so selfish but to instead engage in more kindness? well, when a person has a mindset of kindness towards others (the opening post mentions "don't be so selfish" "don't act in anger") then that includes being able to walk away from and de-escalate situations in every day life (i.e. parking lot, car wash) rather than escalating them to verbal aggression, belligerent remarks, and sheesh carrying a gun all the time with not only the willingness but also the eagerness to use it.

all the while blaming others.
here are phrases from the opening post, connect the dots.

"I think about how I can use it to help others" "helping our fellow human" " what will it take to be nice humans? What example do we need to reestablish politeness, basic respect for human rights and brotherly love?" "The issue is selfishness" "And until people learn to love their neighbor as themselves" "without selfishness" "stop allowing ourselves to be guided by anger and hate"

Really? Having read the 2 posts together, LCK may have overreacted, but hateful?

But that's not the phrasing or the detailed explanation you gave in post #128. If you're backtracking now, that's on you for not presenting all the "facts" up front. Personally, I think you're just covering your tuchus.
