Can a moderator come here and erase the last 5 pages or so. Can someone please get rid of all the off topic comments? This is a good thread.

In the future, please use the report feature to bring attention to a problem rather than burying a complaint by making a post in a thread that a moderator may never see.

I did not report anyone. I assumed (wrongly) that the moderator who wrote here in red and told me about the report feature will also clean the thread after that.

Perhaps the moderator was on a train coming home from work at the time and could only see the forum on her phone, and given how awkward and difficult moderating/deleting posts can be using a phone, she felt that a red post to get the thread back on track was sufficient and did not think of the thread again.
We ARE volunteers, as you know, with lives beyond City-Data, and we don't read every thread or see every post. The report feature exists so we are notified if there is a problem that we otherwise might not be aware of.
