What chance do we have? I am a "pretty nice" guy. I sin constantly. In the politics sub forum here, I am constantly being a jerk, putting others down, calling them out,or being spiteful or flippant, and being un-Christian. You would think I could control my emotions and frustrations, judge others not, and not say anything if I can't say anything nice. I don't. I keep sinning.
Do you think Jesus is happy with me for doing that? I am sure he is not, yet I keep falling short.
What you do on PO&C isn't "sinning"... it's just sport. It's entertainment.
To me a sin would be more like spooking a bunch of pigs and making them run off a cliff...
Or needlessly destroying a fig tree that wasn't on your property.
Aren't you doing exactly what you admonish against doing? You object to having yourself included in his religious beliefs but don't see you are including him in your atheist beliefs. He says there's a God we are all subject to and you say there isn't a God, sin or holy book. How is that materially different?
Because I am not proselytizing. I am only pointing out the obvious. No tangible proof, no god. Once again, the burden of proof falls on the claimant. It's hard to prove fairy tales.
He has his take, I have mine. At least I'm willing to admit it if I turn out to be wrong. The OP started out good and then it took a turn into proselytizing. Nope, not the same thing.
No matter the source, positive energy is always welcome. Accepting the message and the source is the healthy attitude. Never feeling the positive energy is a sad and pitiful state that indicates a sick soul.
This is a "sick" statement. Your smugness and superiority crap and your woo woo is nothing but empty words. You do not practice what you preach.

I see so many people arguing about God. People killing and being killed because of their beliefs. Families torn apart over young ones in love who don't see color, nationality, religions, money ect. When is humanity going to see that much more is accomplished with love, acceptance, cooperation, and compassion for neighboring countries instead of sending our children over to kill their children and take what we want. Coming to a forum in Religion and Spirituality one would expect those with a certain spiritual maturity to converse there. It seems to me that ANY path that leads one to our Creator is a good path. There should be no judgement. Live and let Live in Peace. Be kind to each other and life will be kinder to you.
Much Love and Light to all!
Ideally yes - but unfortunately - this is not how we are designed.
There about 8 billion people - and collective human psychology dictates two main and deeply ingrained traits among us.
1 - We will NEVER collectively agree on ANYTHING.
2 - Among us, there will always, always and ALWAYS, be wrong doers (on a pretty wide spectrum) and good doers among us.
The predicament has already been pre-set by nature. It’s a war between the good and the evil.
And we can’t change this predicament. This will last till the end of time.
And we must swallow this bitter pill of a reality, otherwise we will be living in a Lala Land.
The question is, what side are you on and what have you done to play your part - before the last bell rings, and it’s time to go.
