I think of the soul as the part of me that desires connection. So anything that helps me connect would work. Conversation feeds the soul.

There are times when silence is the best sound of all.

Spoiler
Yeah, I know. Technically silence isn't a sound, but it sounds good saying it.

Yes!

In deep meditation. Or even better...meditating outside in nature, somewhere in the forest, desert, or near a river or just on the balcony.

Our soul is our physical body that is alive because of our own spirit.

Jesus feeds our spirit when we believe and obey him.

His words are Spirit and life.

When we believe in Jesus it is as drinking his blood.

When we obey Jesus it is as eating his flesh.

When we drink his blood and eat his flesh he gives us pure water to drink.

The Holy Spirit is the pure water.

After we believe and obey Jesus he himself lives in our heart.

Music is a big one for me too. Listening to music and playing some on my keyboards. I enjoy all kinds of music from Windham Hill, R&R of course, some classical, some jazz, some soul music...

Thanks. Me too...

There are many ways to get that sense of connecting to something more than just ourselves of course. Again music is a big one for me. I'm known to always be inclined to have some going in the background. Being in the garden is another big one for me. Pretty much also on a daily basis. Being in nature. By the ocean. All of which would be lessened quite a bit for me if there was someone there wanting to make it a religious or spiritual thing involving prayer, or singing songs, or holding hands. The article seems to suggest lots of people are going for something a little different than the traditional ways of religion in any case.

I've been feeding my soul for the last several hours with Christmas music. I'm especially loving Andrea Bocelli and family this year.

A Bocelli Family Christmas
Though I am an atheist, I enjoy the Christmas tunes too. All that the Christmas holiday tends to bring for that matter. Merry Christmas!
