“For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.”

This truth is in your handbook called the Bible.

I've never found the need to be violent. Not once.

It's not my handbook.

That's circumstantial. Your personal experience may be vastly different from that of others.

Are you telling me that if someone you loved were being physically attacked, that you would stand by and watch it happen if you had the means to stop it?

I'd rather be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener in a war.

I think you are actually "wrestling" with these entities according to your "handbook".

I think some of the religions have prohibitions against killing, yet all seem to revel in war, as we are seeing now all over the world.

As I'm sure you are aware, there is actually more to the world than your experience.

The Middle East is a mess because the Holy Land is not being ruled by its rightful owners (Catholics).

Maybe one day we'll have the fortitude and the stomach for another crusade, but until then disorder and death will reign over there.

Your view epitomizes the phrase "a limited or narrow outlook or scope" (i.e., parochial)!! No wonder at all that Catholic schools are called parochial.
