Re Karma
Let's not forget the good you send out also comes back...sometimes even greater!!!
As a man thinketh, so he is...be kind, in thought word and deed...and see what happens.
I love that what we sow we reap ...it is so easily 'proven' in our life...not some theory.

If I sow corn - I will not get a tomato and don't expect a tomato...I love how the Universe works...a Brilliant System.

Karma is not an opinion, it is a central principle of Hinduism. We know neither the cause nor the effect. What is the evidence for your statement?

Karma can be mitigated with prayer.

In Thailand they sometimes speak of karma and bun, bun being positive karma, and karma being perceived as not positive.

This whole thread is opinion. And frankly, as a Buddhist, the Hindu definition of karma doesn't really interest me. If I wanted to be a Hindu, I'd study Hinduism.

Disagree, unless there is somehow cause and effect involved.

Who do you think Buddhists pray to since there is no god involved in Buddhism?
Buddhism and Hinduism may be very different in this.

This thread is not about discussing any principles. It is a platform for the OP’S opinions about the principles. This is not a discussion.

That is also a religious principle:
Prayer has an effect.

And prayer in a group (many people joining together in prayer) has an even stronger and more powerful effect.

Yes, cause and effect. I mention "karma" in jest and now I supposedly believe in it. I just love the way others love to tell you what you are and what you believe.
