Not sure who the leaders are besides the tech billionaires. Maybe the government bureaucrats who tell us how best to trust the Science. Pharma CEO’s too possibly. I guess the temple would be the television, movies, movie theaters.

I think the OP is alleging that it is the God of atheists. They certainly treat its proclamations as such.
How is it you claimed to have been an atheist and yet get almost everything about atheists or atheism incorrect. I am beginning to think it is all about hate or you are angry that we do notveasily accept your claims about reality God or all the other notions you deem your self superior and expert about.
Atheists have no Gods, not even the definition you made up by editing the one from the dictionary.

I am just interpreting what I think the OP is saying. No need to get your underwear in a bunch. I am quite familiar with atheism and why it is so powerfully held. It had me enthralled for over 30 years. Once the facade of the "user interface" is revealed and you have to look at Reality "beyond the screen" the atheist view loses all credibility and certainty.
