Works isn't just about taking advantage of mentally unstable people to pretend that demons exist and that your religion gives you power over them. After all, the Protestants couldn't exorcise Catholic "victims" and the same was true vice-versa.

Jesus fulfilled the Law. He is the end of the Law for righteousness for anyone that believes. Rom 10:4

I think that pretty clearly says that Paul was wrong in his metaphysics when writing his criticism to the Romans. What "law" did Jesus fulfill? the law against non-sacrifice? the law against graven images? The law about being guilty of adultery if you marry a widow?

He's saying to trust in him. He was lifted up on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.

But you say he is saying to trust in Paul's interpretation of him, instead of the four main versions of the gospel on their own.

That's a false dichotomy. Paul was commissioned by Jesus.

So Paul claimed, as would Satan, if he truly was any master of lies.

There are all sorts of problems with the miniseries. That is just one of them.

That's the only one I was looking for because I predicted it.

on topic--this miniseries is wonderful in that it brings the idea of God back to an audience that may have poo poohed his exsistence and hopefully will initiate discussions among people that have NOT thought about Him in a long time

They had good works. Obviously, not fruit of the Spirit...but they did have good deeds.

The Law didn't change. But Jesus did fulfill the Mosaic Law. He was our sacrifice--he is our Passover lamb.

Paul doesn't contradict Jesus. Again...that's a false dichotomy.

Jesus is God. He commissioned and inspired Paul to write the letters he did and preach where he did. You really ought to study some of Paul's writings a bit more and you may realize that.

I hope this new mini-series on the bible is going to reveal exactly who Paul was ..

More books are written about the apostle Paul than any other person on the entire face of the earth! I wonder why ??

Its very refreshing to see something on tv with content we can discuss. Morals are something totally lacking in today's society of "gimmie"!
