If you look at our model, if we can convince you to buy an iPhone or an iPad, we'll make a little bit of money. You're not our product. And so that's how we look at that. In terms of benefit, we don't really view it like that. We view that privacy is a fundamental human right and that it's an extremely complex situation if you're a user to understand a lot of the user agreements and so forth. And we've always viewed that part of our role was to sort of make things as simple as possible for the user and provide them a level of privacy and security. And so that's how we look at it.
Would certainly be great news for the entire state, not just Raleigh/Durham. If it comes to pass though, the Raleigh /Durham area is really going to take off.

I dunno... it's just a call center.
If it maybe expands, yes.

Don’t underestimate them, but I know you know that.
Apple’s Austin campus was pretty much just a call center originally, but it’s now got 6,000 employees across customer service, engineering, online store, and more.
It ain’t going to be 50,000 jobs, but it will almost certainly be a substantial initial investment with major growth potential.

Oh, I know. I'd rather have them here with this call center than not at all. You never know what might grow out of it.
ETA: If they stuck a company store out there with it, I'd be as giddy as a schoolkid.

A better apple store than Crabtree/Southpoint would be enough for me to say yes to a call center
Oh, the company store doesn't have the same stuff as a retail store. Or, it didn't last time I was there a couple years ago.
