Former Spirit AeroSystems employee Joshua Dean dies after sudden illness, stunned family says.
He was 45, had been in good health and was noted for having a healthy lifestyle.

Joshua Dean, a former quality auditor at Boeing supplier Spirit AeroSystems and one of the first whistleblowers to allege Spirit leadership had ignored manufacturing defects on the 737 MAX, died Tuesday morning after a struggle with a sudden, fast-spreading infection.

If we hear anything....
The other whistleblower "suicide" wasn't clear either.

I'd be curious how many whistle blowers have come forward.

After all, it's been 4+ years and if you take 50 random middle aged and older people, there are going to be some deaths in that timeframe.

I mean, hold on to your hats folks but all of the whistleblowers are going to die, every last one of them....eventually.

There's about 30 of them.

Thankyou. I'll assume that includes all of them, even at suppliers like the most recent guy.

Ok, so we have a dead 62 yo and a dead 45yo.

Just for arguments sake I'll use an average age of 50 at the time the whistle blowing started.

Male mortality for 4 years would be about 1 in 45.

So for a group of 30 over 4 years:

Chance of 0 deaths in group = 51%
1 death = 34%
2 deaths =11%
3 or more deaths = 4%

This is meant as a rough ballpark but essentially a 1/6 chance of having had 2 or more.

Articles state the guy got pneumonia and then the dreaded MRSA infection when in the hospital, leading to his death. How did someone else do that to him?

Quite a coincidence. The quotes below are from this mother, according to this article https://www.npr.org/2024/05/02/12486...josh-dean-dead
Quote:
" The doctor said he'd never seen anything like it before in his life. His lungs were just totally ... gummed up, and like a mesh over them."
Quote:
"We're not sure what he died of," she said. "We know that he had a bunch of viruses. But you know, we don't know if somebody did something to him, or did he just get real sick."
