"but they’re paying $80,000 a year"

I don't think THEY are doing the paying.

True, the vast majority of students are instigators or participants in the "protests". A lot of them are almost certainly professional violence leaders who are able to get a few young formative minds to participate in the mass hysteria.

The flag incident was at UNC, a public university, so is not $80K per year, but the private schools such as Columbia certainly are that expensive or even more. It's hard to imagine the average family being able to afford such expenses, especially considering that the tuition and expenses are not tax deductible except in certain cases. Most students are getting the short end of the stick after their parents, and in some cases the students themselves, had had to sacrifice a lot just to get their degrees.

BTW - public universities can be just as good as the high class private schools. Most have honors colleges within the university that are highly respected without the Ivy League name. Plus, the college experience is probably a lot more enjoyable for public school students.

I just watched a video of the American flag being raised again on that same campus. The flag pole was surrounded by students shouting "USA" and singing the National Anthem.

They are kids. Administrators are adults. They owe it to them to ACT like adults and protect these young people. Adults are allowing a few "Lord Of The Flies" rejects to threaten, intimidate and terrorize kids. They should all be fired. Gutless freakin' cowards.

We have allowed our colleges to become full blown leftist indoctrination centers and we are now able to enjoy the results of that horrible error. Thank you democrats.

This is performative rage by those in college who want to have their 1960s-esque protest. If it wasn't *this* particular Middle East war, it would be some other world or U.S. event. The cause is almost beside the point, the main point is partaking, demonstrating, and demanding something from "the establishment" and getting adult others triggered, for attention. It ultimately means nothing but fodder for social media, pics, and clicks.

Taking the bait, as some always do, is a waste of time.

Agreed, except it is effecting those that don't even want to be involved. Taking over, and setting up camp on private property, then intimidating others, and blocking them from going to their classes is a huge issue. It isn't just "taking the bait". The school administration is complicit as well by letting it get to the point of violence.

Today’s activists are tomorrow’s attorneys, house members/senators, mayors, and governors. Best fall in line and unilaterally support their views or face the consequences

And in November Americans will vote for more of this. Mail in voters will at any rate. And anyone who questions their validity will have their lives destroyed by the FBI and DOJ. But hey no mean tweets so that's something!
