I know, right? Who needs that silly old thing? Those evil, white, male, cis-heteronormative, patriarchal, colonizing racists continue to impede Utopia and oppress us from beyond the grave!

I agree. I'd much rather have a government that's excited to look for ever more ways to kill me under the euphemism of compassion than provide relevant materials and services (Canada), or one that leaves me dead because the wait time for an ambulance if having a heart attack can exceed double-digit hours because they're all parked outside of the hospital desperately trying to keep patients stable in the wake of staffing and bed shortages (England), or one that enjoys the benefits of US medical innovation and US subsidization of its pharmaceuticals (most of the world). A real win to be sure.
"Must spread some reputation around"... Great post! I think it's difficult for most "Normie Norm's" to realize insurance is the reason healthcare is so expensive, along with government intervention.
Medicare. That's cheap HC insurance courtesy of the USG!
What does it have to do with the constitution. It's about people's healthcare. Over 20 million have signed up for it. We all need healthcare in order to survive.
It’s very simple. The federal government only is empowered to exercise the authority specifically granted it by the Constitution. All other powers not granted it are reserved to the States and the people.
And nowhere in the Constitution does it grant the federal government the power to force anybody to buy anything.

Maybe that’s an easy answer, but it’s not the correct one. The correct answer is to shut down this monopoly run by the medical mafia, and make healthcare truly free market, private enterprise, free from the top down control of the Pharma Cartel that now has a death grip on healthcare.
If you think government should manage a public healthcare system, you’ve lost your bloody mind, given how incompetent they’ve shown to be with the Veteran’s Administration, Medicare and Medicaid, all disasters.

Well there was nothing in the constitution about healthcare. If people don’t have health insurance who do you think pays for them. And no one is forced to get Obamacare. But many states are greatful for it.
Yes, but it's still mandated in every state, although there are some that will let you put up a significant bond in lieu of insurance. But most people don't have that option. The idea being that taxpayers should not have to pay for your decision not to buy auto insurance. Doesn't seem that much different to me. I'm still not clear why some here are okay with taxpayers funding someone else's "liberty".
There is no requirement to have a car. No car, no law requiring insurance. So, again, nobody is being forced to buy anything. It’s totally optional for an individual to buy and operate an automobile, which requires liability insurance. You are not required to buy the car or the insurance. You are free to choose.
Furthermore, healthcare insurance is a Ponzi Scheme, that’s why everyone should just cancel it. EVERYONE. Bet there would be some big changes if that happened! You can bet hospitals would stop charging $200 for aspirin tablets, and Doctors wouldn’t be charging $200 for a 10 minute visit with a Nurse Practitioner!
What is up with you leftwing loons, and your hatred of America and your fellow Americans anyway? You don’t seem to take issue with spending tax payer dollars to facilitate an invasion of the country, and using our tax dollars to provide free healthcare, housing and food to illegals, but you seem outraged that your fellow Americans might not be paying their ”fair share”?
No problem, and no big fuss over spending Trillions on wars overseas, and providing endless Billions to foreign governments to protect their borders, while our borders are wide open?
Maybe, if our tax dollars were not being given away to other countries, then maybe healthcare could be free for all Americans, paid for by the massive amounts of money they are already stealing from us? Ever think about that?
Until the government starts spending OUR TAX MONEY ON US, instead of everything and everyone else, NO MORE SOUP FOR YOU! We’re already being fleeced.

The issue has NOTHING TO DO WITH HEALTHCARE. It is about whether or not the government has the authority to force you to buy something, and fine or tax you for not buying it. This could be healthcare insurance or an electric freaking car, or solar panels, or rainbow flags on national gay day. It’s the principle of the matter, and not the specific product.
I have no doubt there are many who are thankful for Obama Care. It’s just not the folks (majority) who are paying the astronomical fees, that help pay for those getting Free Obama Care, who probably love it, just like they loved their Obama Phones the rest of us had to pay for.
And the Medical Establishment loves the free flow of cash coming in, thanks to the legislation they helped create, writing themselves a very sweet deal. Those are the ones who really love Obama Care. It’s a sweet deal for the Insurance Cartel to have the government force everyone to buy their inflated policies.
It’s a god damned scam. Ever increasing premiums and co-pays, higher out of pocket costs, and continued reductions in coverages.

There is no such thing as an Obama phone. Are you forced to participate in Obamacare.
We aren’t forced now, but before the Supreme Court struck down the provision, yes, Obama Care forced everyone to buy healthcare insurance or pay a penalty in the thousands of dollars.
You really are an Orwellian nightmare aren’t you? No such thing as an Obama phone ….
