I think he wants to focus on Florida and finish his second term, then run for pres in 2028.

I sure hope it's either DeSantis or Vivek. That would be a killer team.

Wow, I'm surprised Desantis is on there. And not Kari Lake with that said I wouldn't be surprised if he picked Tim Scott.
I can't believe it include Desantis. That would be awesome and so good for the country. We have a lot of cleaning up to do and those 2 would be the dream team.

Let's see, the two kiss asses are Scott and Vivek, I'd guess those two. It's not going to be DeSantis.

No to DeSantis. They are too similiar…..Trump lite but more polish. Trump needs a VP who can pull the female and independent voter out for him.

I don't think Trump and DeSantis seem like compatible personalities. They're both OK, just not compatible to work well together.

I like Tim Scott as a person too , but I am not sure what he'd really add. A bit too much like Pence, probably... a nice polite Christian counterpoint to Trump's perceived recklessness.

I think Vivek has the right personality to be a perfect VP for Trump... and in a more visible role than many VPs. Vivek needs to be put in charge of swamp cleanup and downsizing... or bringing chip or pharmaceutical manufacturing home. And he'd be very ready to keep going in 2028.

Maximum boot licking, following orders, without inserting any ideas of his own or taking away any attention or limelight will be courtesy of Tim Scott, IMO.

Those are Trump's suggestions, but the RNC will have a LOT to say about the choice. I think they will look at the states the possibilities are coming from, and the one that has a state that will most benefit the GOP will be chosen. So, whoever is most likely to help deliver a win.

I think you may be right. Trump knows that Scott won't upstage him, and he also knows that Scott could help increase Trump's appeal to the Black voters which will play a very important role in this election.

PLUS, the Blacks know that if Scott were the VP, there would be a very high likelihood that he would go on to become the first Black president once Trump's term ends... or, even before that if something were to happen to DJT.

I'm sure Trump would want a VP to take orders from him unconditionally and Desantis would never do that. those two definitely fit the bill.
