Considering they were bombed from a plane, you'd think the 2A folks would be all over this for justification that all citizens should have access to anti-aircraft guns.
I'm certainly on board with people having guns and being able to defend themselves. And the bombing you mention, that was the first time bombs were dropped from planes on US soil. I would think the pro-gun types would be on board with the guns and self defense.

The 2nd Amendment is SPECIFICALLY to ensure citizens can protect themselves from the Govt, (not criminals or other citizens)...
This means, the founders must have thought it was acceptable for citizens to draw firearms on members of the Govt, if it became necessary.
