An undeniable fact.
As the South started to turn red, it also became less racist.

The Party of Slavery, the KKK, Jim Crow, Segregation and internment camps, was voted out and economical & social freedom for everyone, crept in.

Look where racism is the greatest in America. Democrat strongholds..... They fuel it. Toss gas on it. Then relight it often.

Are we all Americans? Who cares what you look like, if you can get the job done and get paid.

As Northern states became less Republican they became less racist as well. WTH are you trying to say. Political parties had nothing to do with the racism at the time, people over all just became better people. Crime has also dropped like a stone since the 1800s/1700s etcetera. Nothing to do with which party was in power, but the fact that 1700s/1800s U.S.A wasn't a nice place to live by even the lowest of modern standards.

I'm a transplanted Yankee who's been living in the South for over 25 years.

Interracial couples walk hand-in-hand down the streets here with absolutely no problem.

Truth:

There are just as many racist in the north as there are in the south.

Interesting.
It wasn't a constant thing, their was a time Democrats and Republicans shared various portions of black support, and a time when Blacks were all in for one party, and that mostly changed with the issues, and the parties takes on the issues. Democrats used to be for smaller government and had strong support in the states right South which also coincided with Jim Crow and Slavery, it wasn't like Republicans had no racists in their party back then casual racism/apathy was the norm in both parties, but the Democrats had the more extreme contingent. Black folks sided with the Republicans for various reasons, but generally the believe was that the big government supporting Republicans had black interests as part of their agenda (I.e prosperity for all vs. trickle down prosperity that kept the status quo, while the states rights Democrats ignored or fought against black interests in their respective states.

Like Trump and most of his followers, you have absolutely no idea what a fact is.

Is that why there were still pockets in dark red states that were still fighting school integration into the 2000s?

Here is some facts regarding the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

Signed BY LBJ a democrat.

A higher percentage of northern democrats voted for it than northern republicans.

A higher percentage of southern democrats voted for it than southern republicans. In fact no southern republican voted for it.

Support for the Act was more based on geography than party.
