That may have been true just a couple years ago Tightwad, but the difference has closed so that there is effectively no difference anymore.

But they also trailed way behind in distortion and sharpness. Also,if they chose two different cameras the results could have been very different.What settings did they use on the cameras ? They also can have a major affect on the outcome.

I personally hope P&S cameras are around forever. There are some places I shoot that are not the safest in the world. I always carry my P&S to those places because if I'd rather them get my P&S any day then my good camera. Just my 24 cents on the matter.......
