It's a complex question with many factors playing into it. But think about the ultimate reason for why we have a very complex framework of laws and system of jurisprudence. The essential justification is that they serve to preserve the peace. The peace to conduct business with reliable rules, the peace to prosper and build relationships without interference.
The number one threat to that peace have always been and will always be armed men who try to get what they want outside these rules because they are either unfamiliar with the rules as outsiders or because they know they won't be able to get what they want within these rules.
Our laws are thus designed primarily to minimize these threats. No crimes are punished more harshly than those of overt physical aggression - an avenue mostly chosen by men because it's one that has always favored men and thus is the time-honored means of men to get what they want. Laws exist to minimize this threat, policemen exist as 'counter-aggressors' because a society that can't back its laws with the threat of retribution against violent attackers is doomed.
My preliminary theory: Boys, at play, are allowed/encouraged to engage in a Victor/Victim paradigm, so they arre readily trainable as Warriors if needed. In the absence of war, some boys retain that as a civilian career.

I'll give you another theory in the form of a question
When both are completely broke, hungry, desperate ... what do they do to get out of that situation?
It's mostly a result of the male hormones such as testosterone. If we were to (heaven forbid) inject all boys with female hormones from birth, they would grow up thinking and acting like women.
They’re already thinking and acting like women without the help of female hormones.
Violence asserts power and that power is used to control others. The same conditioning and biological factors which led to countless raids in villages, conquering of other societies, and the genocide or displacement of rivals are what still make men more violent today. It’s why Mostly men are fighting in the Ukraine and Israel. And it’s why men are more likely to commit crimes.
Progressives LOVE to make the argument that it’s strictly because of social conditioning. They believe that if taught “correctly” male violence can be controlled (men are really just puppies deep inside, right?). They’ll be peddling that played out theoretical horse dung on CD as long as it exists, meanwhile violent men will continue to do whatever the hell they want.
No because most women are nurturers and carers and think about others first.. not all but most ..
