We don't like dead ends. Maybe this one is not a dead end if you have found new clues.

You (we) have to try something at some point. No response from a couple of the neighbors from back then.
Also a letter to the son of the owner of the Foundry.

Disappointed on my end of this difficult search.

First names can work if you also include the city name. Kind of a poor man's substitute for the last name. It's going to take more legwork scanning through the search results, but it's not impossible. In this case, it's the only option (as far as obits go).
