I like all people. This is not intended to be a slam against anyone. In my smallish town. About 8000 live here with a Walmart. Its about 80% white people with the rest black or native american. But the past couple months I have noticed a big increase of Asian people in Walmart, buying gas, etc. From what I understand there are Chinese nationals buying up acreage in the area and using the land for marijuana farming. Both legally and illegally. And they are all from out of state. Mostly California or Virginia.

So has anyone else noticed this?

No, but have certainly heard that Chinese have been buying up rural Oklahoma land to grow marijuana.

Oklahoma’s federal congressional delegation is working on requesting $4 million of federal funds to help law enforcement groups in Oklahoma go after illegal marijuana grows, according to State Rep. John Tulley who represents much of Payne County and a small part of Stillwater.

Just outside my little town of 79 growing operations are popping up everywhere. The rumor is that they are owned/operated by Asians.

I've heard it was because of the Oklahoma state regs for growers and the availability of cheap land in Oklahoma. Hearing the same thing from all parts of the state though.

LOL. I guess we can trade a tree killing parasite for a THC containing weed.

I guess they have to find a way to keep the "war on drugs" business going. I think a better solution is just to legalize it nationally and they will not need to spend millions chasing these operations around.

I'd be FAR more concerned about ILLEGAL ALIENS moving in! The Asians are probably leaving California and Virginia because those states are becoming more and more socialist.

To veer away from politics. Everything I have read its for business. In CA land is expensive and the taxes and fees for legal marijuana growers are very high. Oklahoma is one of the easiest if not easiest states to start a legal growing operation. And land is cheap.
