Ha! No way you've ever been to Virginia then.

After moving here from FL 5 yrs ago, and driving all over the SE, I've found the following. For most all of the southeast (except GA), you can safely go 8-10mph on the 70mph highways. In Oklahoma, I've found you don't want to go more than 5mph over if you can help it. So, 75 in a 70, or 80 in a 75 for example. Most of the traffic seems to agree with this consensus as 5 over usually is the flow of traffic.

Oklahoma/Texas/New Mexico/Arizona/Deep South States Praise The Lord When You Speed LOL....

No I haven't. Oklahoma and Arkansas are the worst I've ever been to. Certain parts of Texas are pretty bad, especially north of DFW, but their speed limits in west Texas are 80 and I've flown through there at 90-95 and didn't have a a problem. The panhandle also isn't very heavily patrolled from my experience so you can go pretty fast.

I'd say Arkansas is even worse than Oklahoma. I only go 5 MPH over through Arkansas because they will pull you over for any more than that.
