Posted this in one of my responses on another thread.

We need GoodPasture and his wife back---she was from Europe I think but has grown to love Okies.

I miss RedBird. He was my funny Friend and always brightened everyone's day with his charity and quick wit.

There was also Okie1962 who we prayed for who was so nice. I believe he passed away. He was from Eufaula I think.

Ya'll remember Synopsis? LadyRobyn? Good times.

I even miss sparring with some of the Tulsa guys like Swakester who are convinced that Tulsa is more midwest in the likeness of Chicago or St. Louis rather than Dallas or Nashville.

Ya'll know what happened to them?

You haven't been around much yourself.

But yes, this board has certainly had more people drop off than join in over the last eight years or so.

Synopsis was a pretty good thread starter in the early days.

I think also a lot of the themes have been played out.

Although I never grow tired of the placement of Oklahoma regionally controversy. One of the more fascinating things about living here. The transitional terrain and weather, the strange amalgamation of cultures due to our history.

I think you mean Nightbird. I've been wondering what happened to her too. She had some medical problems so I was worried that she may have had a health downturn.

Still sitting here in the midwest.

My theory is that it is you rich guys in Tulsa that consider yourselves "midwestern"... and it is the poor ones (like B&C) who are southern.

Here I is!

Life hasn't been the same since Felix died. And I have developed quite a few health issues. It seems like after Felix that I just turned into an old man.

We live in the country and we lost our ISP about 3 years ago. So I can only access the internet through my cell phone.

We used to have a lot of fun on the Okie forum, didn't we?

I accidentally left my cell phone and my wallet in my pants and I just threw them into the washing machine. I looked all over for that cell phone and then when I went to put my clothes in the dryer it was sitting there in the bottom of the washing machine dead as a door nail.

I was not looking forward to the hassle of getting a new cell phone, but I found a Samsung very cheap but it is a lot different from an iPhone. I lost all my phone numbers and passwords in about 300 pictures.

Wasn't it swake who said Oklahoma had ugly rocks next to the Oklahoma river?

I just about died laughing after I read that post. But he's not as bad as that Chicago dude who was always complaining and always coming back to the Okie forums to complain every chance he gets.

Well, some folks are like an ingrown toe nail. Some folks make fun of me for having a phone book.

Good to hear from you Redbird. How about some good news?

Synopsis got banned because he would go over to the P and OC thread and go on the warpath.

Patty Davis was actually from here close to where I live. I met her and her husband. And there was that one lady, Kari Bear, who moved here to Hooterville and she stayed out on Patty's land out in the country.

I don't remember what happened to LadyRobyn, but she was really cool. And she was an excellent mod. I believe her daughter was from the town we live in, hooterville,.

I think Goodpasture and his wife moved to Ohio. They came over to my house one time when somebody dumped five puppies and a little dog house on the dirt road about a mile and a half from town and I brought them home. They helped get those dogs into a permanent home. His wife was really cool too.
