I am currently renting a three bedroom, one and a half bath house for $525 a month, and would be perfectly happy with it except for one thing. I am having major plumbing issues, and the owner of the place refuses to pay for the plumbing repairs..I have another backup, and this will be the third time in less than six months that I will have to pay the nearly hundred bucks for a plumber to come in and snake it, and he will be doing it come Monday. I have tried to get the owner to pay for it, but he says that it is my fault, and I know that's garbage, it's just that the pipes are old. I have been advised to not pay the portion of the plumbing and subtract it from the rent, but I don't want a bad rental history, because then how will I move into a new place?

So I have decided to start looking around for another place, and since I am just on a month to month lease, when something comes up that is better, will make the move. I will of course be looking in the papers and driving around looking at for rent signs that aren't always listed (It's how I found this place), but I figure it wouldn't hurt to post that I am looking for a place here too. I don't want to go above $600 a month.

I need at least two bedrooms, and a yard, and has to allow dogs because I have two. It doesn't necessarily have to be right in Okmulgee, am willing to look at surrounding areas too, as long as it wouldn't be more than a 30 minute commute to OSUIT where my son is attending. If anyone knows of a place, just shoot me a pm. Thank you in advance.
