Is anything occupying the Wick Pollack Inn/ It looks like it is not being upkept.

Also, when looking at the photos, I started thinking about how cool it would be to have the Mahoning Valley Scrappers and their ballpark down near the Chevy Centre. I don't know if it was ever considered or not, but a setting at the edge of a downtown seems "cooler" than sitting out near a shopping mall.

I think YSU has posession of the Wick Pollack Inn. I don't know if they are using the structure, but the gardens were restored last year. It received an award. Here's a link with some pictures, but you'll have to scroll down a bit to see them.

I think the reason it's located in Niles is the fact that the Cafaro's donated the money for the stadium and since they own the mall property it was a no brainer for them. I understand your argument, and it would look nice downtown, but Youngstown can't have everything, we need some nice things up here in Trumbull County too! Otherwise you guys down in Mahoning Co. would never venture up to the Warren area.

What are the new developments going on around YSU? I heard there were some nice ones in the works and about to get underway.

Here's a link to a live-cam that will show the construction of the new Williamson business building:
AXIS 2420 Network Camera 2.31

There may be other projects in the works, but I don't follow YSU news closely.

Thank you, unfortunately I do not have the right software to view the construction.

I just want to thank you boardmanite! I just moved back to Ohio with my family. My oldest son is a senior this year and he has Youngstown for one his choices to go see. The pictures helped him get a visual for the area. Since he thought he would be going to a school in SC, we need all the information and perspectives on schools. Being originally from the North Canton/ Akron area growing up- I only went through Youngstown a few times. The pictures were wonderful! We are living in Lake County right now so we will be checking out lots of areas for schools.
