Just an FYI --- those 2 condos in the Stratford are in the low rise building which is wooden construction while, of course, the high rise is steel and concrete.

Having previously lived in an apartment that was wooden construction, they aren't well sound proofed. If that doesn't bother the OP. BTW, the Stratford isn't within walking distance to Trader Joe's for most people. If one enjoys long walks lugging groceries, then perhaps... There's a Harris Teeter that's closer.

I have lived most of my life in wooden construction apartments and find it's not so much about the base product as it is about insulation, or lack thereof. Also, newer construction by code requirement has firewall protection between units if I'm not mistaken that should further muffle sound transfer.

Good news about the Harris Teeter, which for most is more comprehensive/favorable.

For those of us, who grew up in framed buildings...the poured concrete floors of a highrise are almost as bad for footsteps from above. Drop down ceilings eliminate lots of it, and that is what you will commonly see. It's a terrible waste of cubic footage, but saves on HVAC.

That hasn't been my experience. We lived in an apartment in Reston that was wooden construction. A family with kids lived upstairs for a while. When the kids would run around, it made our apartment shake.

Now we're in a steel and concrete building. Yes, you do hear people walking upstairs but it's not very loud and it doesn't cause our apartment to shake.

If you're not bothered by wooden construction, then get a realtor to show you the places at the Stratford. See what you think about them.
