Btw, I do not know if anyone mentioned it but there is quite a bit of interesting history in the Adirondacks, just looking at the forts/battles alone you have Fort Ticonderoga, Fort William Henry (Last of the Mohicans) and the ruined forts at Crown Point.
Also, right outside the Adirondacks is the Saratoga Springs area which is an interesting area to visit in itself and can easily be combined with a Lake George vacation.
Thanks for these. Beautiful waterfalls. I am always amazed at how different the lake world is from the ocean world. Sounds silly, I know.
