Well, they only did 10, so I guess they had to pick and choose. I remember my mother talking about Saranac and going to Lake Placid during the summer.
True, but a few of the communities on the list are just outside of the Adirondacks, while some that are in the park were left off. Lake George was another community that comes to mind.

I attended the winter festival in 2005 or 2006 (I can't remember for sure).
It is a great time as long as you can stand the extremely cold weather. Extreme as in the coldest most people from this area have likely ever experienced.
