Unfortunately NYC and it's metro area Liberals run the state with an iron fist. They'd like nothing better than to abolish the 2nd Amendment altogether. But there's hope for my brothers that do care. The Supreme Court has agreed to take up a case involving New York's arbitrary and capricious handgun licensing system. If successful New York State and probably NYC will have to issue concealed weapons permits to it's residents without them having to show proper cause. In other word's New York would become a "shall issue" state once and for all. You'd still have to get a license and go through all of the bureaucratic BS to get one. But at least they will not be able to deny it's law abiding residents from obtaining one and will allow them to carry outside the home for self protection. A step in the right direction and about time.

Even though it doesn't affect me as I now live in the Great State of Arizona where permits are not required to carry openly or concealed. Good luck to you my friends I'm rooting for you all the way.
