What's bad is people continue to pay this kind of taxes without a raise in their salary. Jamie Dimon of JP Morgan is correct. At some point there will be a revolution to either take down the government authority or people will all stop paying their bills as nobody can afford anything.

How much increases can the homeowners take when salaries remain flat as everything is going up and the government does nothing about it but increase the pain.

Nahh don't say that, to most on here that means you're simply not working hard enough, or did not choose the correct career

Who hasn’t received a raise in the last 5 years? Minimum wage workers have seen their pay double since COVID. It’s been less dramatic (obviously) the higher up the pay scale you go but every income group has received substantial raises since COVID. Wage growth is still strong at 4% year over year. During the preceding 3 years it was north of 6% per year.

Incorrect career choice is a valid reason. Another valid reason in NYC is people being afraid of making more money and losing city benefits.

I have a colleague whose. (city assessed) value went from the mid $900K's to the mid $700K's but his property taxes stayed the same. The city is desperate for money.
